Who is ready to be sent by God?
Travel with me to Bire, Haiti, by driving down the two-lane “not so much” of a road that goes from Port-au-Prince to Léogâne, Haiti. After you cross over the bridge at the Momance River, you will then turn right down a dirt road that weaves through sugar cane fields. After two miles of navigating the bumpy terrain, you will arrive at an intersection where you can turn right to access the village of Bire.
Pastor Jean Panel Louis led the Bire church on a mission trip to Les Cayes, Haiti.
It was at this intersection where we began hosting outdoor church services to evangelize the village of Bire. There was no church, no school, and no well. We eventually planted a church in 1987, opened a school, drilled a well, and started a medical clinic in Bire, Haiti. This year our Bire church sent 80 Haitians on mission trips across Haiti. Our Haitian missionaries are sent and scattered to spread the Good News of Jesus. To God be the glory, for the power of the Gospel to change lives, build disciples, and send missionaries! ~Tim DeTellis
