Carrying On the Faith
// Heather Williams Katz
Our Sunday school happens on Saturdays!
Every Saturday, children gather for Bible classes at all four of our Spanish-speaking churches. What began as a small program at our church in Los Castillos has grown and expanded to each of our churches. Recently, we arrived 45 minutes early at our church in Bombita to prepare for class. To my surprise, children were already waiting for us! For many of these children, Bible class is the highlight of their week. They enjoy playing games, singing songs, and making fun crafts…but most importantly, they are learning Bible stories and memorizing Scripture.
Once a Bible class student, Madoche Codio Jean now helps lead the children, demonstrating how God’s Word transforms lives.
One of the greatest blessings is seeing young adults who once attended these classes now leading them. They are teaching the next generation about God and helping children learn to follow Christ. It is exciting to see God using their lives to impact others. Please pray for our leaders and the children who attend these classes—that they will grow in their faith and continue to follow Christ with each passing year. ~Heather Williams Katz
