New Roof in Masson
// Rachel DeTellis
Several years ago, our Masson campus expanded with the addition of a new classroom building and a large canteen with a school kitchen.
At that time, concrete work to extend the church structure was completed. However, due to other ongoing construction projects, installation of the new roof was delayed.
That long-awaited project is now underway. Trusses have been delivered, the old roofing is being removed, and the back wall will be taken down. The platform is being rebuilt further back, with an additional room on either side. Once completed, a new metal roof will cover the expanded structure, providing much needed space.
New trusses are built by construction crews at the warehouse and then delivered to the Masson campus to replace the leaky roof.
Pastor Richard Gay reports that both the church and school are doing well, with 150 attending Sunday services regularly. The congregation and school have greatly benefited from the new canteen and classroom buildings, and this latest expansion will also be a huge blessing. The previous roof was rusty and had leaks making the replacement especially important.
Pastor Gay looks forward to using the new rooms for instrument storage and as a school office and supply space. ~Rachel DeTellis
