Hope for High School
// Heather Williams Katz
Recently, I attended the graduation ceremony in Los Castillos, where kindergarten and sixth-grade students celebrated an important milestone.
It was a day filled with proud families, joyful smiles, and excitement for the future. Yet for our sixth-grade graduates, the celebration was also bittersweet.
"Small Steps, Big Achievements" was the theme for the graduation at our school in Los Castillos.
As we talked with the students, many shared how much they wished they could continue their education with us. Sadly, because we do not yet have a high school in Los Castillos, they must leave the school they love and attend schools much farther away. For some families, the additional cost of daily transportation will place a heavy burden on an already limited budget. Others will face the uncertainty of adjusting to a completely new environment during these important teenage years.
Recognizing the top students of the kindergarten class and the bright future they represent.
Our kindergarten graduates dream of one day graduating from Los Castillos High School.
Building a high school in Los Castillos would do more than add classrooms—it would give students the opportunity to continue receiving a Christ-centered education close to home, surrounded by the teachers and community who know and love them. Your prayers and generous financial support can help make this dream a reality. Together, we can give these students the opportunity to keep learning, keep growing, and keep following God’s plan for their lives. ~Heather Williams Katz
