What happens when we give the gift of education?

A child grows up with the outlook of a better tomorrow. When I ask graduates of New Missions what they would hope to do next, they frequently respond: “To help the Haitian community live a better life.” It’s a calling and purpose we pray our students embrace, to contribute to society and to serve others.

Yadioule Nerat has a heart to help the elderly and brings care with her skill as a nurse.

Yadioule Nerat graduated from New Missions in 2009 and currently serves as a nurse and loves helping people…especially older people. Her friend, Mirlene Petit Homme finished school one year prior to her in 2008 and is also a nurse. To God be the glory, Mirlene was baptized on April 15, 2015.

Mirlene Petit Homme graduated from the class of 2008. She loves Jesus and helping her fellow Haitians live a better life.

Alexandrew Michel, graduated from the class of 2002 at New Missions and went on to university to study law, political science, and management. He is the director of a car insurance company and is thankful for his education and employment.

Alexandrew Michel graduated from New Missions in 2002 and is now the director of an insurance company.

What do we hope for our students? That they would, first, find a personal relationship with Jesus, and second, develop a skill and service to help others. Third, support their local church and family. Thank you for your faithful prayers and giving. Because of you, we are able to help students develop skills that lead to serving others in their communities. ~Tim DeTellis
