A memory I’ll never forget is visiting the Dominican Republic to meet my two sponsor children.
The interesting part about meeting someone that you have prayed for and written to is how much your heart is already full of love and joy for them. I am still amazed how when I give a gift of sponsorship, someone else is blessed; this is humbling. The mutual gift is when I realize how both of us are being changed. The investment in the life of a child and partnering with their family is so important. I met my sponsor children at church in Los Castillos. We sat together during church and watched the discipleship process of God changing lives and bearing fruit. We cannot measure success by what we give, but in knowing that we impact heaven daily.
