We Love Our Teachers
// Jeanne DeTellis Loudon
Just as my teacher invited me to accept Jesus as my Savior, most of our teachers were once students and remember their school teacher who first told them about Jesus.
I love our teachers because they use their influence and love for the children to tell them about Jesus and encourage them to follow Him. With their godly skills, our teachers see each new class of children like a fresh plot of good garden soil.
The school director in Lassale, Pastor Rigal Alcidas (far right), is a New Missions graduate serving in his home village.
I love how they also plant seeds of character. The teachers plant and water with godly examples of kindness and patience. They weed sensitively, pulling up human tendencies that include a lack of discipline. They inspire excellence. Day after day they repeat the process to see a harvest.
Meet the teachers from Concrab where the director, Pastor Fednel Oscar (far left), is a New Missions graduate.
While we can’t be with the students all day, it’s such a blessing to know that our teachers are with the students consistently to love and heal and lead them on the way to stay faithful to Jesus.
In Bire, Haiti, our teachers and Pastor Jean Panel Louis (top left) desire spiritual discipleship at their school.
Thank you for praying for our teachers. Thank you for sponsoring a child who will hear the Good News and know the hope of a future and the assurance of eternal life. Our school teachers are our best missionaries–reaping a harvest year after year–introducing the next generation to the greatest love and power on earth. ~Jeanne DeTellis Loudon
