Early this morning, Charlie DeTellis called me with the first of several updates from our high school campus in Signeau, Haiti. Hurricane Matthew was making landfall.

I just spoke with Charlie for our 1:00 p.m. hurricane update. He told me the winds are still very strong. Trees are down and power lines have fallen across the highway. Traveling is much more dangerous. Our major concern is potential flooding in our area, as rain continues to fall.

I am praying for my sponsored children and their families by name. “Dear Lord, please protect Manoucheca, Mackendy, Magdala, Catiana, Gloria, and Josue.”  Please continue to pray for Haiti.

We will continue to make updates at newmissions.org/news and on our social media channels: Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
