The decision to follow Jesus takes a family to church.

I remember on Saturday nights lining up four pairs of shoes for my four children to avoid an unexpected search on Sunday morning. In most Italian homes, on Saturday you could smell the garlic simmering in the olive oil in preparation for spaghetti sauce for Sunday’s dinner.

Renee Fatal (Erlande's husband) loves and leads his family as they attend church together in Neply, Bord-Mer, Haiti.

“...but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15.  Is church a priority for your family? Going to church as a family builds the foundation for spiritual growth.

In Haiti, the Fatal family of six children have decided in mind and heart to follow Jesus, and they go to church on Sundays. The mother of these children, Erlande, from the village of Neply, Haiti, prepares clothes and food in order for this to happen. When Sunday morning comes, with joy they put on their best clothes and as a family they walk the road to church. Erlande knows how to prepare in advance because electricity is not always present. If indoor plumbing exists, you may not have water on Sunday mornings.

Thank you to worship teams everywhere as they lead church families to worship together.

Together, the Fatal family makes time to worship God and put their confidence in Him for their lives and future. Happy and blessed is the family that goes to the House of God! They experience great pleasure and satisfaction as they are in the presence of God. They hear His voice and fellowship with a family of believers. With heart and mind, decide to follow Jesus. Go to church! ~Jeanne DeTellis Loudon
