Our Haitian construction workers love serving their own people in the various communities.

They also appreciate the employment. Employment for a Haitian is often the difference between success and distress. Haitians deeply value education and their faith in God. I am often impressed by the diligence of the Haitian people with their educational studies and devotion to God. Improving our school and church facilities allows these ministries to function better. It is a joy seeing projects completed.

Sourcing construction supplies such as roofing metal is a continued challenge, but we continue on and God provides.

Our students from Tom Gateau are thrilled about their new school kitchen.

We are picking up the pace with construction, and have been able to receive regular deliveries of quality pressure treated lumber for our roof projects. The roof for the school kitchen in Tom Gateau was recently completed. Last month, we put a new roof on a large church in Darbonne.

From building roofing trusses to welding doors, the progress of construction provides jobs and strengthens communities.

Everybody understands construction is hard work. Our construction team labors in diverse conditions. We desire a safe and happy work place. Attitude means everything in the workplace. Every Monday morning, the construction workers pray together. We are thankful for the diligence of the Haitian people in serving their own people. But first, we also recognize that we are serving the Lord. God has a great love for the Haitian people. They will not be forgotten or abandoned. ~Charlie DeTellis
