During the pandemic in the Dominican Republic, we started a large youth group that met weekly on one of our campuses.

Teens came from many places; many of them came because they missed their friends and wanted to see them. Praise the Lord...many of those teenagers accepted Christ and are continuing to follow Him! We started a second group in another location, and both groups are growing and looking for opportunities to reach the lost.

Youth leaders Vicky Patricio Reyes and Liliana Montas Perez sharing with some of the youth in Los Castillos.

As I sat down with some of them to hear about their experiences in the youth group, I was amazed as they told me how much their lives have been impacted by the group and how they feel part of a family. One of our recent high school graduates had planned to move away for college but felt God prompting him to stay in Sosua and study closer to home. He did not want to stray from God, which he felt would happen if he moved away. He is becoming a strong leader in the group, and I praise God for the work He is doing in his life as well as in the lives of the other teenagers.~Heather Williams Katz
