Discipleship Groups
// Tim DeTellis
Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations.”
Today, we are witnessing disciple making from pastors who graduated from New Missions on the Léogâne Plain of Haiti, where there was more Voodoo than any other part of Haiti.
In Signeau, Haiti, a discipleship group meets to study the importance of God’s Word.
Pastor Mario Bijou from Signeau said, “We are studying the importance of God’s Word in the life of Christians based upon Psalm 119:105 which reads, ̔Your word is a lamp for my feet, and a light on my path.’”
Pastor Panel in Concrab, Haiti, hosts a discipleship group encouraging others to let God transform you.
In Concrab, Pastor Panel is teaching on the theme “Let God Transform You” from the Scripture found in Romans 12:2, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing, and perfect will.”
During discipleship class, Pastor Mario Bijou shines a light from his phone to illustrate Psalm 119:105.
Every Thursday, our church in Léogâne hosts a discipleship group led by Pastor Guidony Guillaume and evangelist Genel Isaac. Their emphasis is on how Christians need to know the importance of the Bible, how to use it and why. They are teaching the doctrine of the church so Christians can represent their faith well.
Discipleship happens in relationships with other Christians learning from God’s Word. Please remember our pastors in your prayers as they represent disciples making disciples. ~Tim DeTellis
