Will you pray with me? Prayer is not the only action but the first and best action to any need or desire.

In one of Plato’s writings Timaeus said, “...all men who possess even a small share of good sense call upon God always at the outset of every undertaking, be it small or great;” Is there a need to pray? Yes! There is an urgent need for a bold prayer with groaning and consistent, continual petitions. People everywhere need the Lord, and people everywhere on earth have needs for health and provision.

Children at New Missions in the Dominican Republic are learning the value of prayer and Bible reading.

Jesus asked His friends to pray with Him in the Garden of Gethsemane, but they could not stay awake. When I pray in bed, I usually fall asleep. And then when I cannot sleep, I usually pray. Praying is to be like Jesus, and He often passed the whole night in prayer. Be encouraged and stubborn when you pray.

Our 21 Days of Prayer includes praying for our events. Pastor Jonathan Pearson serving with his family.

Thank you for praying for the churches of New Missions. The downtown Leogane church in Haiti is full of families.

New Missions is hosting 21 Days of Prayer and you can read our prayer requests at newmissions.org/prayer. Praying is effective and essential to our spiritual lives. Can you be like Jesus and follow His example to pray? Thank you for praying with us for spiritual penetration into the hearts of our people for salvation and maturity, and for supernatural gifts and provision to bring the Kingdom of God to earth. ~Jeanne DeTellis Loudon
