Perhaps you’ve noticed “help wanted” signs in your neighborhood.

At our home office in Orlando, we have an invitation for you to come and help us throughout the year preparing Christmas shoebox gifts for our children. When I touch an empty shoebox and begin to add gifts I imagine the smiles, giggles, and satisfaction from the child and their family. I also pray for the child, through this act of love, to receive the greatest gift of salvation through our Savior. Your touch to prepare a box and fill up every tiny crevice of space with gifts provides an expression of God’s love to begin a change in the life of a child.

Kids helping kids is a big deal at New Missions, as water bottles are filled with essential school supplies. We are thankful for Journey Christian Fellowship from Quinton, VA, as they send volunteers several times a year to serve in Orlando.

Workers are welcome throughout the year to come and assemble boxes, pray over them, and send them off to students, nurses, clinic babies, and our pastors. Your hands can be on the mission field in a remarkable, impacting manner.

Some of our volunteers make this an annual event in their lives, and some even take a few days to enjoy the pleasures of being a tourist in Orlando. Whether you come as a mature senior or a very young child, we have work ready for you. It’s part of the good life we have in Christ—loving and serving Him. ~Jeanne DeTellis Loudon
