Let's Build a High School
// Jeanne DeTellis Loudon
For 20 years, students who have attended our elementary school in Los Castillos have had few options to continue their education.
A few have had the means to pay $3.00 USD one-way to attend our high school about eight miles away. We see their desire to succeed academically, and we see their need to have a high school in their own community with safe access. We have the land, a beautiful campus set up high on the hill, just like the name of the town, Los Castillos (The Castles).
Jendry Checo, our high school principal, celebrates campus graduates representing leaders from the class of 2026.
Arismendy Katz keeps students in the Dominican Republic energized for Jesus.
A woman, who like Mary with the alabaster box anointing Jesus, came and saw the need for a school and donated $115,200 for the land back in 2015. We now need people to see, feel, and to respond with their two coins or an alabaster box to build this three-story high school. I can already feel the joy of the students. I see the hearts and minds of their parents being blessed.
Los Castillos teachers stand alongside students who are praying in faith for a new high school.
The community will have a first class Christian high school where the King will be in residence. I offer you the blessing to participate in God’s great love to be part of this vision and dream. God is truly leading us. As George Mueller said, “Where God leads, God provides.” Thank you for praying for this mission. ~Jeanne DeTellis Loudon
