David Jean-Charles is in fourth grade at our L’Acul school in Haiti.

He sent a letter to our Orlando office to be forwarded to his sponsors, David and Kathy. In his letter, he shared his gratitude for their love and generosity. He wrote, “Dear David and Kathy, It was so nice to get a letter from you. I am glad that you are in my life and I thank God from the bottom of my heart no matter what happens. My family always asks Jesus for help even though sometimes we don’t understand what He is doing in our lives, but He only has the best for His children and will never let the Haitian people down. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers.”

Enite Bazin is our fourth grade teacher in L’Acul, Haiti, and proudly stands with David Jean-Charles.

This drawing was made by David Jean-Charles for his sponsors, David and Kathy Walker.

David takes notes during class and enjoys writing letters to his sponsor.

We have translators at each school who sit down with our students and help them write to their sponsors. David also drew a picture with red, blue, and yellow crayons to show his creative spirit, while on the printed side of this sheet of paper his words were translated into English. A paper and a pen can carry words of hope and prayers of faith. Will you use your pen to write to your sponsored child? What message will they send back to you? ~Tim DeTellis
