Two Containers Delivered
// Tim DeTellis
To God be the glory, two cargo containers cleared customs in Haiti and safely arrived at our mission.
Charlie DeTellis often says, “Haiti is difficult, but we press on with faith and trust in God.”
Blominda Desrosiers, our office worker and translator, made a special video update from Haiti when the containers arrived.
Blominda Desrosiers, our office worker and translator at New Missions, made a special video greeting as the trucks were being unloaded at our warehouses. “I greet you from New Missions. Glory to God, the moment we were waiting for several months is finally here. Two containers arrived at the New Mission campus. Most of the children in Haiti are in need. Unfortunately, their parents cannot even buy clothes for the children. When the children of New Missions receive the boxes from their sponsors, they use everything inside with happiness. They also share something with their families at home. This is good news for our schools. Let us thank God for the provision it gives to our children and their families.” Blominda’s video can be viewed under monthly updates at newmissions.org/videos.
Shoebox gifts designated for sponsored children are distributed by the school for students to receive their assigned box.
Students from our school in Leogane celebrate the additional shoebox gifts received.
As soon as the containers arrived, our school directors were contacted to arrive the next day to pick up gifts for their students. We must never give up on the calling to share God’s love with others. Thankfully, because of your prayers and generosity, we see blessings of provision for the children and families of New Missions. ~Tim DeTellis
