The good news of John 3:16 is a hope for people everywhere.

Throughout our schools, we share the Gospel, and our students study God’s Word. To show how this happens, I asked Jean Marc Fontaine, one of our photographers, to visit a school and take a photo of students reading their Bibles.

Marc-Kwessy accepted Jesus as his personal savior last year at the New Missions church in Neply, Bord-Mer.

God had a better plan for the results of this project. The photographs from Jean Marc began with a photo of his son holding his Bible opened to John 3:16. Typically, I then do research to find out who sponsors the student so I can recognize them. I checked with our home office and unfortunately, his previous sponsor was unable to continue sending support, and eventually the sponsorship ended. I quickly decided to be his new sponsor! Immediately, I sent a message to Jean Marc about the news. Now, we are both on a mission to pour the love of Jesus into Marc-Kwessy’s life.

We start teaching Bible class in preschool. Lina Merthil instructs her students at our school in Signeau, Haiti. Thanks to your generosity, our students have Bibles. Their hearts and homes are stronger because of it.

I asked Jean Marc, “What advice do you give your son Marc-Kwessy regarding his faith in God?” Jean Marc replied, “To put his trust in God, despite the difficulties of life, because God is always there.”

Third-grade teacher, Darline Joacine, from our elementary school in Leogane, Haiti, teaches a Bible class daily.

Today, please pray for our students to learn to place their faith in Jesus. He is still the answer for our world today. ~Tim DeTellis
