Jesus taught us to be watching for His return, but we are also instructed to keep working while we watch.

The Haitians have had several years now of unprecedented disturbance to their lives and security. Through it all, we have seen the churches forge ahead in service to God. The churches have communion monthly and are continuing in prayer, evangelism, and preaching the Gospel. Besides Bible study, one thing that Pastor Richard Gay encourages is starting home prayer groups.

Pastor Richard Gay from our Masson church prays over Sherlaine, Auguste, and Madame Cedras.

A prayer group visited Auguste Gilbert’s home. They prayed with him and he soon began visiting church. Madame Cedras Saintiac found no help from the Voodoo priest for her son-in-law with mental health issues, and realized that Jesus was the only one who could help him. Sherlaine Alsius lives very close to the church and as a child heard the worship and started attending alone. Recently, she felt a touch from God and chose to follow Him. On October 8, 2023, these three confessed Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Our work is not done until all the harvest has been brought in. Keep watching and working! ~Rachel DeTellis
