This summer, we had the opportunity to take our high school Christian leadership group on a mission trip to Constanza, in the D.R., a farming town located high up in the mountains.

While we were there, we hosted VBS in one of the public schools. What a great experience this was for the children who attended the VBS, and for our own leadership students! The children who attended VBS were so excited and wanted to hear more Bible stories. When we encouraged them to start going to church, some of them said they had already found a church and had attended the night before! How wonderful it is to see the love of God and the Gospel transforming children’s lives!

All of the children and leadership students thoroughly enjoyed the VBS and learned more about God’s love for them.

This trip not only impacted the children who attended the VBS, it also helped our leadership students grow spiritually and identify areas in their lives that they needed to change or improve. It is so encouraging to see our students wanting to lead worship, pray, and share in front of children and their peers. We look forward to seeing how God will use the group this year in our high school to transform and shape lives. ~Heather Williams Katz
