All of us need a complete deliverance in our lives from anything holding us down.

Deliverance comes through our faith in God.

I believe some Christians are content with a partial deliverance. They are not fully walking in victory. We seem to love to hold on to past failures and offenses, and at times can stop walking in the Spirit and begin to walk in the flesh.

“Among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 3:2-5

I thank God for His Holy Spirit who leads and guides us each day. We need to be at peace in an imperfect world, and forgive the imperfections of others. Often they are also walking with heavy hearts. We need to recognize the sovereignty of God and expect His providence to work in our lives. We need to walk in victory.

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:4-5

Jesus is the Savior of our souls. A nonbeliever cannot comprehend spiritual matters. He is only living in the current physical world. It takes a leap of faith to make the first step and to pray to God. God will answer you beyond your expectations. He will open your eyes to spiritual matters. I hope you have a little measure of faith to make your first step and your first prayer towards God.

“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ʻMove from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

Jesus can restore our emotions. We need to receive love from others and show love to others. Some people have been living in fear all of their lives. Some can become workaholics—trying to find love and acceptance. Others make wrong turns and get involved with drugs and alcohol while trying to fill a void in their life that only Jesus can fill. It can be hard for some people to get out of their old mindset. Today can be a new beginning for any of us. God can make all things new. God loves us and has died for us in order to set us free.

“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.“ 1 John 4:17-19 ~Charlie DeTellis
