Shoebox Thank You
// Emily Pearson
On a shoebox gift distribution day at our schools in Haiti, joy and excitement filled the air.
Enthusiastic chatter saturated the classroom as the students patiently awaited each carefully assembled package. School supplies, a plush toy, soap, a washcloth, toy cars, a card containing a Christmas greeting…these are just some of the material contents of shoebox gifts that are treasured in those moments after a shoebox gift is opened.
Children in the Dominican Republic received their shoebox gifts with such joy!
A young student from our Vieux-Court school is ready to take his shoebox gift home.
Before these boxed blessings arrive in Haiti, they make a stop at our Orlando office to be prepared for shipping. As we had the opportunity to walk each gift through the preparation process, our hearts overflowed. The Gospel message was nestled inside each box as volunteers packed them for shipping. This is the most significant gift we are able to offer!
These girls from our Vieux-Court school are all smiles as they have shoebox gifts in hand!
Through your generosity, God pours out His love and hope to our students and their families. Because you give, serve, and pray, the Good News of Jesus continues to be proclaimed to students and their families. Lives are eternally changed. Your partnership is vital to our mission of sharing the Gospel and making disciples in Haiti. We extend our heartfelt thanks for every effort you make to pray, pack a shoebox, volunteer, and give. God bless you. ~Emily Pearson
