Love Your Mission
// Tim DeTellis
Sitting in the outdoor dining room at a local hotel in Sosua, Dominican Republic, our school directors met to share ministry reports.
I was visiting for a few days with a pastor and business owner from Central Florida. This meeting was our first appointment on day one. We listened to our Dominican Republic team share about their roles, responsibilities, and the personal testimonies of how the mission has changed their lives.
Daniel Farington has served with New Missions since 2000 and currently directs our Los Castillos campus.
While sipping coffee, I looked up and saw Daniel Farington who serves as our school director in Los Castillos. He has faithfully served New Missions as a team member for 25 years. He was one of our first employees. Daniel desires for our campus in Los Castillos to have a Christian influence in the community, to morally change the lives of the students, and to promote literacy and excellence in education.
Heather Williams Katz enjoys pouring into the lives of our high school students by teaching an English class.
Remember Heather Williams Katz and her husband Arismendy in your prayers as they serve in the Dominican Republic.
Many updates were encouraging, including how Heather Williams Katz, our field director in the Dominican Republic, teaches an English class at our high school at the New Life School campus. The influence and impact in the lives of the next generation of students is so important. Her husband, Arismendy Katz, is a doctor and teaches biology at our high school. Thankfully, each day our team serving at New Missions has a mission to love. ~Tim DeTellis
