Our children’s program in Los Castillos has been going strong now for over a year. During the past year, we have seen amazing spiritual growth in the kids.

Many of the teenagers have become leaders in the group and leaders in church as well. We recently finished a series with the children talking about different Christian values. We talked about love, respect, honesty, kindness, generosity and many others.

Berny Liriano and Stanli J. Geronimo, former students at our school in Redemption Village, are now firefighters.

Berny Liriano and Stanli J. Geronimo, former students at our school in Redemption Village, are now firefighters.

As we finished the series, we wanted to give the children a chance to put some of these values into action. So, we challenged the kids to bring dry food items to take to our local firemen. We collected the food items for one month and then we were able to take all the children to deliver the food and get a tour of the fire station. One of the best surprises was to meet two of the firemen, Stanli J. Geronimo and Berny Liriano. They were former students at our school in Redemption Village—which is the school where most of these children attend! Please pray for the children and leaders in this program as they continue to learn more about loving, following, and serving God. ~Heather Williams Katz
